Gary became a Vistage chair last year and is a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed, his track record has demonstrated this by substantially improving all the business operations with which he has been associated. Core strengths are ably demonstrated in the areas of Operational Process Improvement, Strategic Planning and high volume Customer Service, utilising innovative technology based solutions whilst being heavily supported by strong Commercial Acumen.
This experience has been gained across a range of industries, including Weir Pumps, Burroughs, Wang Laboratories, Scottish Enterprise, BSkyB, DEC and Yellow Pages Directories. Involvement with a large number of global organisations has also realised extensive international experience with particular emphasis on the USA and most recently India where he was involved for over six years.
As well as being instrumental in several start-ups (4 to date), he has also presided over the significant growth of an SME from £8M to over £50M revenue in a little over ten years. In addition Gary has been responsible for the successful closure and/or transfer of 3 businesses, a skill which adds significantly to his understanding of company life-cycles. All of the above added to the positive experience of Interim Management gives Gary a unique skill set and knowledge of business which can be deployed lucratively in any business environment.

- Providing innovative process improvements to drastically reduce process turnaround times; 10 days to 5 hours, 25 days to 3 days, 59% on time to 99%.
- Providing innovative ‘flexible working’ schemes tailored to unique business environments; shift patterns moving between 1 and 3 with only 24 hours notice, weekly hours flexing between 25 and 45 virtually eliminating overtime (winning the CIPD People Management Award).
- Creating high volume process environments; 24M smartcards, 120K servers, 3M ads.
- Turned a medium sized UK based company into an international business working across 3 continents whilst increasing revenues from £8M to over £50M in ten years.
- Moving between radically different industries whilst maintaining a successful track record by applying consistent management philosophies and eliminating non value-add activities.
- Continually driving bottom line profit by focusing on 2 key elements – customer service and process innovation.
